Whether those other groups were mistaken or downplayed things doesn't matter, since what you disputed was Trump calling it a "hoax". He recently did so, and therefor you are wrong. As for the article, I believe showing a pattern of behavior of a person is appropriate (regularly using the word hoax) as that's how you understand statements - not in isolation. And yes, he was impeached, but senate Republicans/McConnell stated they would coordinate his defense.
