like, I had the chance of a lifetime to impress cute white chicks and it slipped me by. I wonder how many more bites of the apple there are left for a guy like me. I have a boring ass job and all these feelings I keep inside. I bitch all the time to my coworkers about work and I'm embarrassed that I'm still alone when they all have partners! this is no way to go

I was starting to do stand-up late last year into March but then we were the first city to (at least publicly) get hit by covid in the US. What am I gonna do? I used to write stories but they were so angsty and cringey. some people thought they showed ability, though. I failed to get into a writing program but I didn't have any real portfolio. it was a weird reach but that was almost three years ago now.

Use this time to focus on yourself. Write some new jokes, start a blog or a podcast.

I don't feel hopeless but I get so angsty when I actually sit down to do something. I really think I need to drop the sites and apps that are compulsive for me (like CE) but I don't know how long I can sit with myself and not drive the impulses that have been feeding me for years.

It's when I see stuff that invites a lot of negative emotion. CE is a playground for that. It started when I watched police abuse videos and general reactions on youtube and that was a bit before they became popular here. between that and people acting out of their minds in public and I can't believe it.

I don't know why you're upset but I'll try to take your words seriously. I do tend to overlook girls who aren't conventionally attractive. I think it's funny as a white man to be labelling white people by their race but maybe it's more obnoxious.

Headspace is a meditation app. I'm in teletherapy once a week. We've been working on identifying and mapping my behavioral cycles and the outcomes.

I thought it was a therapy app. My bad. But it couldn't be worse than nothing. Meditation is a good way to clear your head of monkeys and naysaying spirits.
