I'm not even American so I'm not going to pretend to know how or why it is the way it is. I do know you won't be able to point at a single reason or event as to why racism exists as it exists all over the world in all shapes and forms with people from all walks of life.

Every country has a race issue, not just white countries. In China discrimination against Africans is basically encouraged.

The cause of racism in most places is that the wealthy and powerful want the lower-status majority to not be unified, and they will do their best to convince people why _____ is bad

Tribalism is human and evident everywhere you find humans.

Any majority is going to have a problem with some minority. Western countries seem to have more of a focus on race than others due to the "melting pot" effect. Other countries seem more heavily focused religious discrimination or caste discrimination. Though race discrimination still exists obviously.

Yeah, I've noticed that about some Italians as well. I used to live in a city where about 60% of the population has Italian or Turkish roots. Whenever I'd hear people talk shit about the Turkish, it was pretty much always someone from Italian descent.

It's basic biology. Humans instinctually categorize things and what's the easiest, most shallow form of categorization there is? Skin color. It's why minorities are also racist and why racism will never truly be defeated in society
