Resetera is vastly more an "echo the platitudes or GTFO" than anywhere else. That's pretty much its entire point.

I watched his review. It was very cringy, but I don't remember any particular biggoted remarks in it.
He kills Abby as soon as he gets control of her due to certain events in the game, and a bodybuilder has disproven the fact that Abby could get so buff

There was a poll on ResetEra asking "Are all white people inherently racist." Almost 80% of users voted yes. I was banned from the site for saying 80% of users must be racist then. Horrible site.

Yeah, most regular reviewers state the game is pretty good, but it has a ton of flaws that prevent it from being great let alone perfect.

So an 8/10 game where some people may weigh the good parts heavier and overlook some flaws and give it a 9 or 10. Someone call the police. I disagree with a review number!

I wouldn't rate the game any higher than a 6, and most people I follow would agree with it. For context, I think TLOU is a solid 8.

here's a couple of things i saw joe say. i didn't watch his official review, but i watched probably half of his spoiler discussion video after i beat the game, and saw a clip of him reacting to the ending. so if there's anything to correct, go ahead.

he said the ending was drivel because females survive and males don't. it isn't true, for one. tommy survives. mel and yara die. as far as people that are up in the mix in this revenge story, a few more named males die than female....so what? why is that drivel in and of itself?

if he thinks this is some anti male game, most of the villains are women. abby starts off as the villain we want to kill. then ellie becomes a villain - i'm not even talking about fighting against her. she literally becomes the villain when she decides to go after abby after being spared twice, and leaving dina and the baby in my eyes. the scars were committing their atrocities in the name of a woman. i didn't really consider isaac to be a villain, perhaps some do idk. the faction at the end of the game you could say are male villains. but even if you throw isaac in the mix, that 2 villain factions led my males, to one villain faction inspired by a woman and 2 villain protagonists that you have to actually play.

when he did his video for the spoilers (which let me start by saying weren't true), he immediately laughed at you as a trans character that kills ellie. right off the bat, not good. because this isn't a bad thing in and of itself. we might not like to see ellie die, but this doesn't mean it's a bad game/bad story, and he treated it as such. he said something like "i'm paying 60 dollars to play the characters i love." so did he already decide he didn't like a character based off they're not joel and they're trans? i don't claim to know how a trans person would receive that video. but if i saw someone complaining that you have to play a black character and that he's paying money to play the characters that he likes, i'm going to think he has a problem playing a black character. straight up.
