Is it an actual entertaining 900hrs?

Maybe it wasnt for me or I didnt play it long enough but I tried it a few years ago and the plot didnt seem very interesting and the battles were very boring from the little bit that I did

It takes a while for combat to open up (also like XB2) but once it does, youre pretty much going to consistently get 30+ hit combos with Yuri solo if you know what youre doing. Otherwise, your party members pick up the slack with their mid-game moves and abilities. Rita can keep up her most powerful spells with no lag. Repede basically becomes untouchable. Its great.

I also really like the cast, So Ive enjoyed going through it with someone new each time.

Keep in mind that its still a JRPG, and if youre not into those, you wont like this.

Yeah Vesperia is my GOAT game. The combat does start out clunky unfortunately once everyone starts getting more stats and skills, it becomes addicting to chain combos and Overlimits. It took me 200 hours to get the platinum trophy and I was still getting into fights just for fun towards the end

Hey I just started this game on PS4 for the first time. About 10 hours in so far and pretty good so far. It's a bummer that combat relies so much on manual cancels to be fun though. I mean they're super easy to do but it's such a weird mechanic to force on you just to make the combat palatable.

Gameplay, maybe, though Hearts R and Innocence R give it a run for its money. Hard to say between those three.
Story/characters/themes/setting, hell no. Not even when first released.
Music, no.
