20 y/o Morgan Bullock from Richmond, Virginia became famous for her IRISH DANCING on Tik Tok as now right-wing trolls have accused her of CULTURAL APPROPRIATION!!

She has been performing irish dance routines for 10 years around the world as she showed off her skills to her legion of fans as now the world famous RIVERDANCE has invited her to perform next year in her state!!

Padraic Moyles invited her to perform with his troupe when they come to her state as she's seen dancing to various artists including Drake, Janet and Michael Jackson but has received a mix response from people who accuse her of appropriating irish culture

She said "I'm passionate about irish dance, teaching and my identity as a young woman of colour so the comments were quite hurtful. I feel like they've come from people who don't understand the term.Irish dance is like any other cultural art form, it was created to be shared. It's a dance that was born out of oppression, we can't lose sight of that. For me, as a little black girl, it was a beautiful art i was desperate to be part of"

She's been dancing since the age of 10 and performed it at her recital at dance school learning tap and ballet and now says it's her life. Competitions aren't that common in Virginia until she went to Dublin and London last year where she came in 43rd. It may not be an accomplishment but to be in the top 50 was a big achievement.

To her surprise HIP HOP worked well with irish dance choreography to help her get better and she will not give up on it no matter what anyone says as even the Irish PM has commended her

She can't wait to perform with Riverdance depending of the virus has subsided and now she is going to educate people on the dance and to inspire others in an uncommon dance form

I have a black older friend who wears many full kilt outfits around because he said he was Scottish.After about 5 years he took a DNA test this year and hes like 90% east African lmao.Nobody cares,we just know him as kilt man to his request.

Thats cool, my sister did Irish dancing (and later taught it). As a kid we went on some cool road trips around the country for feiseanna. I checked out some of this womans dancing shes quite good and I like the idea of using hip hop music.

I think it's ridiculous that you can't like the irish if you aren't irish. That's the dumbest most secular thing I've ever heard. Luckily I'm part irish. I say she can. It's like saying i can't like black people because I'm not black and must be racist at all times which is absurd.

I think art isn't something that can be appropriated, since that just kind of how art evolves. If she claimed she thought of an entirely new form of dance and it's completely original to her, then that would be a different story.

When Miley was going on her rebellious, ultra sexual music phase she was doing a lot of rap collabs with producers and rappers. She going in specifically at the black market to get clout.

And hip-hop embraced her. I mean there weren't many people pissed or anything. Just "The Hannah Montana chick is crazy" type of response.

Then after she kind of stalled with that lane switch, she went back to pop and called rap misogynistic and problematic.

Most of the time, this is NEVER the case, but yet people get bullied into stopping whatever it is by the culture police anyway. One of the worst ones I can remember is the white women on that train with cancer getting harassed by black women for "wearing a doorag to cover up her baldness".

Also I would disagree that theres anything wrong with profiting from it. Walmart and tons of retail places sell stupid irish things for Saint Patricks day. There is probably endless amounts of other retailers selling cultural wear that arent of that culture, especially online. If you have a passion for say...Mexican food and want to open up your own Mexican American/British restaurant, you cant give the food away for free just because you didnt invent it or have the wrong skin color. Also yes, a lot of resturants have been closed for stupid reasons like this, google it.

I think the bottom line is that Cultural Appropriation is Stupid.
