No but I've had my credit card info stolen somehow before. Still no idea how they got the info. Didn't notice the money was gone until it was too late to get reimbursed so I'm just permanently out the 400 or so bucks.

Banker here. If it was at an online store, your information was probably stolen from either a. Someone hacking the site or b. The site itself selling your information to a fraudster if you're ordering from shady places.

If just a random brick and mortar store or gas station, your card was physically used somewhere that a data breach occurred. Your card #, cvv, and exp date were used to generate a copy of your credit card

I've had my credit card stolen before. I had only used it at two places, an Asian grocery store and a coin shop. The thief used it to buy coins on eBay and had them sent to someone with an Asian name, so that didn't help.

Luckily I tend to monitor my credit cards pretty closely, I caught it within a few days of being used so they only managed to get a couple hundred bucks. The card had a $5,000 limit.

Pretty sure I only used the card for online purchases and even then, nowhere shady. Probably just steam and amazon. I've had a few people try to login into accounts from other places so I assume my computer probably was compromised at some point. This was years ago though so hopefully everything is fine by now. Haven't had any more incidents.
