So I just started today. Tell me if I've got this right. When you're rolling you're only rolling for stones, but if it's your first time getting a stone then you unlock the character as well? But only Sr and ssr stones have characters attached?

also mems by other means (awards from Raids, Events, Exchange Shop, Phantom Tower) don't grant characters... at least so far none have, you can typically see them noted "Character will not join your allies from this Memoria Stone" if you open their detail in the rewards/shop listings.

Also I have a notification on top of my arena that just won't go away and it's pissing me off, I've already redeemed the battle pass rewards. Anyone know how to remove that

Estelle is really good because she's the only true healer in the game. Some content is way easier with her. But she still isn't required to do well, and outside of her the cast is pretty balanced.

Arena notification is a universal constant that will remain there until the end of time.

okay what's going on here, farming VH Dark Raid for All-Seeing Eyes today I just need one...... I've gotten 3 Judas SRs this morning alone, making a total of 5 for me now

geez I could just finish him off with the Medal Exchange but heck might as well keep my raiding up first and see how that goes

I think most of the SR farmable Memoria is underwhelming. Last I checked it was all resistance stuff.

Patty's is OL gauge increase, not GOOD for Repede!

I only checked the ones I got, Judas and Pascal. Both give resistances

for Judas (Dark), he got Paralysis resist to Dark allies
for Pascal (Fire), she got OL Freeze resist to Fire allies

You may eventually want to transition them to something else as you get more options at higher levels, but it is safe to start with the one they have since they are guaranteed the bonus from it

It's typically good if only because their own stone has the same element and that's what matters most for matching. Beyond that there is concerning their rarity type / max level, their stats, and the bonus effect they provide (eg, the Judas and Pascal effects I just posted about)

so like initially it was good for my Lloyd to use Lloyd's SSR memoria as that was the highest level earth memoria I had to start with, but then the event came along with Farah, also an earth element, with available dupes to boost the stone up to level 100, far outclassing every other stone in my possession (and a decent bonus effect)

More reasonably: you can get SR Kanata/Misella/Viscious/Aegis mems from the shard exchange shop. I leveled up a 90 SR Kanata through it and it's better than my SSR Kanata stone... and the Viscious is my best Dark memoria, and the Judas will be up there when I get around to completing it.

Ah, I think I see how some people are getting monster raid contribution. Will have to see if they get punished for it. Apparently if you break a boss and then temporarily withdraw, when you rejoin that boss never unbreaks. You just get to rain down on it without it ever hitting back. Presumably everything crits too since it's under break status.

I did wonder how some people were catching me up in contribution when I was using strong units and got a head start whilst putting up high scores.

Tried to replicate it to see if it was true. Did not end well because Dark VH is ridiculous. Will have to try it on something where I can hit weakness

Yuna made a remark to Misella about 'To be young again' in the latest chapter. So curious I went to look in the codex how old Yuna is. She's 17. (Misella is 14)

So if only ssrs get mystic artes then the story characters I have so far (kinata and vicious) don't get them? That's kind of weird

The only way you get to be an actual old man in a Tales game is if you're an ancient war hero spoken of like he's from biblical times.

Are rare stones good for anything other then refining better stones?

If you get enough of them and ascend them, they can be good.

They also work as filler on a subgrid for a while since you want 9 of the same weapon type first and then work on same element within that weapon type after

We don't actually know that the summer characters are limited. I don't see it saying that anywhere on the banner information or notes. Again, "Premium Summons" usually implies that they're being added to the regular pool.

Another noob question, I just rolled a duplicate repede, is there any use for duplicates besides ascension or should I just do that right away?

You can ascend the character or the memoria stone. If you really want to use the character, you can do that. But ascending the stone is better otherwise because it can be equipped on any other character or used in your substone grid.

I recommend not doing anything with the extra SR stones quite yet. You'll want to field 9 of the same type in your substone grid, so you should hold onto it and see what else you get

Just worked out I need to do 46 more fights to clear out the battle pass. 11 to 18 > 15 to 19 > 20 to 20. There's some uncertainty over exactly when the thing expires since apparently global and JP and different time zones are all showing vastly different things. So I might just blast them all out tomorrow to be safe.

The Arena is kind of egregious with how much you need to grind it out to get decent rewards.
