"Landlords have to pay bills too!" OK, so why are you guys mad at the tenants who are also hurting and have bills to pay? You're misdirecting your anger at the wrong people. The Government should be doing more to help the landlords so they in turn won't have to worry about the tenants who also can't pay their bills...Instead they're sending billions to corporations that already have billions while people like you guys sit here and attack each other....jfc man hold this administration accountable.

the resentful minimum wage masses are doing their best to harm the landlords, who are middle class or moderately wealthy people.

they think theyre sticking it to the man and that by dragging said landlords into poverty they will have their comeuppance and then enjoy semi-free housing.

surprise! Instead of their communist utopian dream, destroying the middle class/petit bourgeois landlords will mean the big, national corporate giants will take their place. Those dudes are brutal and will treat them like garbage and leave them out sobbing in the middle of the street on a Christmas night. And maybe they deserve it

This is what the GOP wants.

The poor fighting the slightly less poor.

Maybe if they would have put an actual stimulus like what most Democrats wanted. Some kind of UBI during the pandemic to keep spending up instead of just bailing out big corporations and just letting the poor die.

If they were successful they would have 6+ months of savings and wouldn't be evicting their tenants and instead working with them through times of crisis while leveraging their success with politicians to help them out.

People did the same thing with rent and mortgages during the Great Depression. It's social solidarity. People shouldn't be out on the street ever, but especially not at a time like this. Landlording is an investment that can go badly, especially in bad economic times. Well now it's going badly.

american and united airlines asked (and received) help within a month from when things got bad, lmao. Then NO ONE is successful.

but by all means, try to drag middle class and wealthy (but not rich) people down to poverty level because it makes your crab bucket mentality jollies tingle. When friendly mr landlord is replaced by a cut throat National company that raises rent whenever the fuck they feel like and who will kick you out whenever the fuck they feel like you will keep licking their boots

It's their legal right to go into the court house and conduct their business in accordance with the laws. The protesters shouldn't be blocking them.

Who is going to help fund properties and their upkeep if residents aren't paying rent? It falls on the "landlord". Not all landlords are giant companies with money and loans to keep themselves afloat. Some are just average people who are renting a property with the expectation of receiving money in return.
Protesting is constitutional right #1.

Landlording isn't a right anywhere.

So I got a brilliant idea. How about people not pay rent, and how about landlords continue to have to pay for costs.

None of the above are real jobs, yet you choose to whine about being a landlord is not a real job. No its not. Being a landlord means you saved enough money or risked enough money to buy a property and decided to allow someone else to live there for money. We are not a communist system, we dont tell people what to do with their property.

i cant believe people who spend money by joining only fans or buying gamer girl bath water shit on landlords for not doing physical labor or sitting at an office. Imagine the level of lack of self awareness lol.

Why do you guys think a lot of people don't like landlords? Hmmm? Maybe it's cuz a lot of them are douche bags. Sorry, but when your job involves having the power to make folks become homeless and you're one guy, don't be surprised when the whole complex wises up to your attempt to save your behind at the expense of the majority of the people you house during a global emergency.

The selfish attitudes here...

If someone doesnt pay rent, they aren't owed a home by the landlord. A person who buys a property with their own hard earned money and rents it out doesnt owe someone the place if they dont pay their dues. What gives people the idea that they have some right to stay in a place that they are not paying for and dont have permission of the landlord? Half the comments here seem to be from unironic communists...

I'm all for landlords being kind and charitable, but they are not nor should not be forced to allow someone to stay on their property without compensation. Its not their responsibility to house the population with property they bought and maintain with their money, but the governments. If people are pissed off at people being evicted, they should direct their anger towards the government, not the landlords.

There hasn't been affordable renting for a very long time, and the ones that are affordable are rundown.
