Sometimes, I'm naturally more excited than others and it shows. As for the suggestion, I feel that if I leave out the names, it doesn't seem to hurt the popular ones still as we have had large turnouts but it does hurt the ones with lesser known people. Perhaps if they don't know what the matchup will be, going into the topic, they will enter and still not feel lazy about voting or whatnot.
