I've got a problem with my new Moto G Power where if you import your Google account from your old phone it can mess with some notification settings. Common problem it seems. Basically my Pulse Notification LED doesn't work. The kicker is theres no Display setting on the phone itself to activate it.
I've read if I root my phone theres an app I can get that fixes this. Im pretty tech orientated so i'm sure I could figure it out. Just wondering if its worth pursuing or is it common for rooted devices to have issues with the service providor? --- Can't refute the substance of the post? Ad hominem! ... Copied to Clipboard!

My Note 3 is rooted and the biggest thing is that the OS will never update so I'm on Android 4.0.1, it sucks ass and I can't play gachas. I honestly hate this fucking phone now but it is also almost 8 years old and it still works, so I can't bring myself to replace it just yet.

Have you tried setting up as a new phone? Are you trying to bring a backup over so you have your texts and apps and stuff?
Because you should set up as a new phone, and just sign in. It will import all the important stuff like your contacts and what not, but not your texts, settings, and apps. --- "Fear cuts deeper than swords." ... Copied to Clipboard!

Manually signed in to all my frequented online accounts. Idk it just seems to be some weird common quirk with the LED. It isn't on when charging, or when I receive notifications. The dumbest part is theres no option to turn it on... Maybe I can try to factory reset it and new phone it again. --- Can't refute the substance of the post? Ad hominem! ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah it was setup as a new phone.Looking it up, there seems to be a fix for this exact issue with a widget that Motorola released themselves. https://www.androidcentral.com/how-fix-moto-g-notification-led Seems like my thing wouldn't fix it anyway since, like you said, it is an issue with your previous account. --- "Fear cuts deeper than swords." ... https://www.androidcentral.com/how-fix-moto-g-notification-ledI read that but cant find the widget in the Play store. The article is from 2013 and this phone came out this year. Ill try looking again before resetting. Edit: Found it as an APK and still doesn't seem to work. I'll think on it for a few days before trying a factory reset. --- Can't refute the substance of the post? Ad hominem! ... Copied to Clipboard!

I read that but cant find the widget in the Play store.Yeah man, I figured you've already done your due diligence on this. Motorola is super confusing with their phone names by having generations instead of new names. I was able to find the APK out there. How reliable it is, IDK know. If it was me and didn't trust it, I'd start backing everything up and then right before a reset, try it, then reset, and then use it to have a nice fresh start. I don't really care though because I'd try it anyway lol. Good luck with it. As for rooting... Not worth it nowadays. Can disable lots of stuff like Google Pay and whatnot. --- "Fear cuts deeper than swords." ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah the APK hasn't worked and I don't wanna put in the effort learning how to root for this single issue. I'm sure I can get a reset to work. Thanks again for looking and the advice. --- Can't refute the substance of the post? Ad hominem! ... Copied to Clipboard!
