Do you add anything to pizza? Maybe any seasonings like parmesan cheese or red peppers? Or sauces like garlic sauce or hot sauce? Or other foods?

And whats you favorite thing to add if you add multiple things?

Depends the Pizza. If I buy a cheese and tomato one I'll sometimes add some kind of meat toppings but outside that I'll just buy my Pizza with the toppings already.

And whats you favorite thing to add if you add multiple things?

I love a meat feast so Sausage, Pepperoni, Chicken, Corned beef, Pastrami or any type of meat. Tuna is good on Pizza too.

I made a really good but slightly weird pizza the other day. A mixture of baked beans and onion were used instead of tomato paste. It also had parmesan and peas on it.

A topping I'd recommend trying is adding small chunks of cooked potato to pizza.

I like meat feast type pizzas, as well. Probably one of my favorites. Also, while Ive never had time on a pizza, I guess it wouldnt be too odd. I mean, I usually eat tuna with crackers or bread already. All thats added in the sauce. Though, Im not sure how that would mix with it. But, you could also get a different kind of sauce, as well...

Parmesan is almost a given. For some pizzas, I will add a little garlic powder. If I have it available, also pepper flakes.

Yes. If it's a specialty pizza (like a Margherita), I simply sprinkle some Oregano, Black pepper, and a little bit of Parmesan cheese. However, if it's a pizza with like 3 common toppings (Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Italian Sausage, Mushrooms) I tend to add lots of tiny sliced red-onion and Jalapenos, Lots of Oregano, Parmesan Cheese, Thyme, granulated red pepper, and some Cilantro.

Yeah, and it doesn't take much. I'd only sprinkle a little per intended serving. On a related note, if I put a little peanut butter on an end piece of bread to finish off a loaf, I may also add a small helping of garlic powder to that.

Ive never had garlic powder on bread with peanut butter. Thats a unique combination. But I may have to try...

If it's a REALLY good pizza, the only thing I'll get on it is extra cheese, and then I might add high quality parmesian on top....maybe.

Otherwise, if I get like a Pappa murphies, I will get the 5$ favs (when they had them at least), with the pepporoni, then I add my own mozz on top at home to make it super cheese (I literally take off all the pepporoni pieces to add the cheese underneath lol). It's literally the easiest way to make your own pizza, and it used to be mega cheap (I think it's basically $12 to get the exact same thing now sigh).

I have added my own pepporoni before as well, especially back in my pizza stone days when I created my own (I also made my (well it used to be famous) bolganese sauce to use on it). I can't actually find any decen mozz around here (it was hard to find whole milk mozz in CA, but it was possible, here it's basically non-existant!!).

I don't even make pizza anymore since I have it so rarely, I just go for the highest quality pizza I can get. I have been thinking of making little mini pizzas though with these flour tortillas (actually they are like gorditas because they our thicker and soft). They are so yummy when making tacos, I was like, why not make a pizza on this!!

To do that though, i'll need to actually make my sauce again, and sadly, I'll have to use part skim-milk mozz (cry..why!!!!). I'm figuring i'll actually crisp the pepporoni first, then add the sauce/cheese and crisped pepporoni, and perhaps fold it and seal it like a calzone before heating it up.

I'm gonna be out in the boondocks 15 minutes from civ, so no delivery at all, and the closest pizza place will be brewery city (which isn't horrid mind you, but nothing to write home about). To get all the way over to NY Vinnies (so yum, so cheap), would be like an hour drive, each way.....so even though it's really yum, it's just not gonna happen very often.

Which is good, pizza is not good for my diet, but I can't resist it, when I moved up by NY vinnes a few years ago, I had their pizza every day for the first 16 days after moving there lol.

When i make them myself, i use: Pesto sauce, mozzarella cheese, Prosciutto, Kalamata olives, and artichoke hearts if i can find them. I borrow one of the stone deck ovens at work to make it usually. sometimes i substitute steak for the prosciutto and asiago cheese for mozzarella.

I would say most good pizzas dont need anything extra. But its nice to have extra. Also, the small pizza thing is a good idea. That way, you dont have to have a big one where you cant eat the whole thing.

That sucks. Is there anything with an similar taste that you could substitute that you arent allergic to? Also, do you just not add anything anymore?

I buy dough from local pizza places when I'm in the mood for pizza and outside of the traditional topping, I'm not too over the top. I like olives, peppers and roasted tomatoes. From time to time I'll add crumbled sweet Italian sausage or beef.

Cheese I use from time time are mozz of course, Cheddar, provolone, havarti, gorgonzola and goat cheese.

We have two local joints here that will put potato on pizzas. I've tried it - not my thing but not awful.

Typically I'll put Parmesan on pizza and depending on the location garlic butter dip.

its too bas so many places no linger offer anchovies. I can sort of understand when so many places would use low quality fillets and not even rinse off excess oil, thankfully papamurphys carries pretty high quality anchoives.
