Love the topics he covers, absolutely abhor him. Dudes a hyperactive manic little shit who thinks he is way funnier than he is and tries to force a joke about every single little thing. This turns his show into this screaming sugar rush bullshit that just drives me up a goddamn wall.

The thing is, some of his jokes do land, but the ratio is pretty bleak, and as mentioned the subjects of his videos are right up my alley. The result is a channel that makes my eyes and ears bleed, but that I cant stop watching.

Though yeah, quite a number of his jokes don't really land. Funny since he considers his younger self cringe-inducing.

Imo he's kind of flanderized himself over the years. He used to be much more tolerable, I think. Or maybe I was just younger.

He had a point in his channel's lifespan where he had more serious reviews with a few jokes thrown in while the "Caddicarus" branded episodes were the more zany kind. That's probably what you're thinking of.

He hadnt been on my radar until recently but like, as an example, a deep dive through Dreamworks tie-in games is a fine concept that could carry its own weight just fine, but could absolutely have some great moments to for commentary and more emphasized jokes. Having some screaming fuckin jackass shove his mug on screen every 5 seconds ends up detracting from it, not only because most of the jokes are whiffs, but because if everything is funny, then nothing is funny. The manchild-ass LOOK AT ME SCREAMING AND WAVING MY ARMS shit gets old immediately. Theres no flow to it, its just grating.

but the concept is still funny as hell and mildly interesting, so I still watch

I watched him for a day and I had enough. I like my youtubers to have a lot less energy and whackiness. He wasn't as bad as a lot of other youtubers tho. Like you said, once in awhile he has a joke that lands. Like modern day Family Guy.

I think part of it also is that a lot of the time it feels like hes doing the youtuber equivalent of guys thatll make a joke and then look around the room waiting for reactions instead of just naturally letting it come out and hit. He dwells on what should be little quips and theyre less funny for it.

Speaking of, what do you think of his running gag with Cash Banooca? I was a bit amused at him calling the new Crash 4 "Justin Thomas."

I've watched a surprising amount of Spawn Wave this year. How little of that "YouTube personality" stuff he has is weirdly appealing. Plus he does a reasonably good gaming news series.

Nothing will quite replace what TB did in keeping me up to date with the "gaming conversation" before he died tbh. I've been looking for quite some time and haven't found a suitable replacement.

I used to watch him all the time in college, but he just got to be too overbearing. He seems like a really nice guy, but his videos are wholly unappealing to me now.

Also, I always found it strange that he married a woman who was like ten years older than him and already had children. He seemed happy though, so more power to him.

His hardware breakdowns and repair experience make for nice videos.

I will say I think his podcast sucks ass. His style leads to nice, informative videos without layers of bull shit in them. But idk, it doesn't work that well in podcast format imo. He could make it up if his Co hosts brought that to the table, but they really don't.

I know Im insulting Family Guy. But I do still like it to an extent. So I'm not trying to insult the guy too deeply.
