8/10. A bit too much for me, but it's still very good. Don't think I'd ever watch it again though.

8/10. It probably deserves a bit lower for the cheese factor, but this one holds a lot of nostalgia for me. Ally Sheedy was my idol for a while.

6.5/10. I'm not a big Edgar Wright fan tbh. The only one of his movies I actually think is deserving of its praise is Baby Driver. The World's End is a bit underrated though.

6/10. It's smarter than one would expect, but I'd still hesitate to call it anything other than above average. That said, it's the only movie with Will Ferrell that isn't completely exhausting.

6/10 for this one. Visually remarkable, but I don't think the narrative comes together as well as it could have.

Mmm, maybe like a 6.5/10? It's been a while, but I know it's a lot better than anything Alex Proyas put out after Dark City. He started out with such promise, but just totally dropped off the map creatively after that point.

Dumb people getting in way over their heads seems to be the theme here.

A Simple Plan- 6/10. Honestly, this one is probably deserves a bit higher, but the characters are so frustrating that I just can't do it. Billy Bob Thornton is really good in it though.

Blue Ruin- 6/10 for this one too. My expectations were way off for this going in though, having seen Green Room and Hold the Dark prior. I didn't think I was walking into a dark comedy at all. Everyone is really dumb, but things get a lot darker than they usually would for this type of movie.

Raising Arizona- 8/10. The second half doesn't quite do it for me, but the first half is some of the best comedy the Coen brothers ever put to film. Hunter and Cage are both exceptional.

Death of Stalin- 6.5/10. I really wasn't as impressed with this as I'd hoped to be. The writing is strong, but the humor doesn't land as well as it did in In The Loop.

Blow the Man Down- 7/10. I liked this one, but it feels like it would have been better suited as a TV series. It does a nice job of setting of the community, but there's a lot of elements that feel undercooked.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople- 7/10. It's pretty fun; one of Waititi's better movies, and Sam Neil is always a delight.

I think it was originally part of a miniseries by Stephen King. I think it was a story in a book of several stories. Then they made a movie about it in the early 90s.

I remember watching it as a kid and watched it a few times as an adult. Certain parts kind of stick with me. I think it's on Netflix or there is a version on Youtube.
