Baby Driver, or Lucky Number Slevin
Depends on what I saw last.
Haven't seen Lucky Number Slevin, but I have seen Baby Driver. That one's an 8.5/10. Some terrific action sequences and some impeccable musical timing, but the story itself isn't particularly strong.

The Karate Kid (1983)
Maybe like a 6.5/10 if I'm being generous. Mr. Miyagi is an iconic mentor character, and it's solid family entertainment, but it's a fairly typical underdog story underneath all that.

Citizen Kane
8/10. It's not my favorite Orson Welles, but nonetheless, it is a pretty innovative and well rounded film.

It looks like it's a Fatih Akin movie. I've only seen Head On from him and it really didn't do anything for me, but the trailer looks pretty good. I might look into it at some point.

*Er, scratch that, I'm thinking of Ana Kokkinos's Head On. I haven't seen any of Akin's movies then, only heard the name.

I don't know what any of this is lol.

And I don't even think it's like the best movie ever - I love the Indiana Jones films and know those are better in so many aspects. Just something about this movie is so memorable to me -_-

6/10. I actually prefer the sequel quite a bit myself. They're both filthy, but that one doesn't feel quite so overwhelmingly hopeless and cynical. It's definitely accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do, it's just not for me.

8/10. This movie is comprised of 95% sociopathic characters, who are all aggressively unlikable, but I have to say it's very well written, acted, and edited.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

It sounds both disgusting and appalling, which is typically the kind of premises that draw me in. I just hope if I hate it, that it's stupid enough to laugh at.

Blues Brothers- 9/10. Love this one. If I have any real complaints, it's that the car chase at the end goes on for a bit too long.

Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade- 7.5/10. Honestly, it's been a long time since I've seen this one, so take that with a grain of salt. I remember liking it quite a bit though.

Parasite- 9/10. Easily my favorite Bong Joon Ho movie. It does a great job at blending together different genres in a way that feels totally organic. It's pretty phenomenal across the board.

Don't Think Twice- 7.5/10. I think I prefer Sleepwalk With Me, but I still liked this one quite a bit. Mike Birbiglia is a really likable guy.

I think that's it for the night. I'll rate/talk about more tomorrow.
