I think people are being too harsh, doesn't Spain have an insane number of coronavirus cases? Maybe they were afraid of giving it to the german team so just let them have the ball. Or maybe they were sickish and tired/not at 100% to be playing due to it or something. There's plenty of reasons for barcelona to be failing, it's not their fault.

Arsenal gets much more space to counter when playing a big six English club. The remaining clubs will typically leave 9 or even 10 near the box and hope to hit Arsenal on the counter. Auba creates many of his goals with great movement off the ball. He also frequently plays off the wing and interchanges up top with Laca.

Messi isn't the problem, barca would be fighting for europe league or lower if he wasn't there lol. He ALMOST took Barca to a treble last year single handedly had the defence not fuckedul at anfield. He's the top la liga scorer and tops assists dis year too btw

Messi is the poster child for how Barca played football, which is to say that he was one of several people that could dribble past someone. Theyre still trying to play that way but Messi is the only one capable of doing it... when he feels like it. So they are set up to fail if Messi does not drag their asses over the finish line every time they take to the pitch.
I mean, its not hard for him to lead La Liga when the guys most capable of challenging him are either (a) moved to Italy (Ronaldo), (b) moved to France ( Neymar), (c) absorbed into your squad and put on the bench (Griezmann) or (d) old and broken down (Suarez).
