I went with Aliens but I don't think you can really go wrong with any except maybe Nacho Libre. If you are a fan of Jack Black you might like it.

Not sure why, but Ive been surprised at the low vote totals for Mask of the Phantasm in each of these polls. Just expected it to be higher.

(Not saying that I want to watch it anymore than the other movies... just an expectation I had going into these.)

Just finished it. Solid movie. Gonna use a spoiler tag, in case anyone stumbles upon this and hasnt seen Aliens yet.

The first half of the movie gave me a big time Predator vibe (I know Aliens came out first). There were similarities between both movies in general, but the first halves of each movie in particular were very similar, with a group of soldiers going in to take out a threat. I feel like the Metroid Prime games took a lot of inspiration from Aliens as well.

The Xenomorphs were smaller in this movie than Id expected. I got the impression that they were massive from the one in Alien, but they appeared to be just a bit bigger than humans in this movie. I didnt know a ton about this movie and how it would play out, other than Ripley would fight a Xenomorph using an exosuit (knew that from Conkers Bad Fur Day). Although the fact that a gigantic Xenomorph queen would ne involved at the end was a big surprise to me. Id been wondering how they laid the eggs, but I didnt expect it to be from a 12-20 foot tall queen.

Also, Ripley comes off as a bad ass in this. Really loved her character. Shes a little bit like Ash from Evil Dead 1 to Evil Dead 2, going from the reluctant lone survivor to the take charge hero (although much less exaggerated). Lastly, the girl who played Vasquez seemed really familiar to me, but I couldnt put my finger on it until I looked her up. Was shocked to learn she was the adoptive mother from Terminator 2.

Cool, i'm glad you liked it. It's one of my favorite Bill Paxton roles, it has a lot of good characters and the shift from the slow burn, tense Alien to a more action filled Aliens was fun. Ripley continues to develop on as a character in later movies, they are all worth seeing eventually but you definitely have seen the best two at this point.
