The PSP games and Ascension I mean. I wanna play through the series (I've only previously played some of 1 and all of 4) and unsure whether to include those or not.

The PSP games were solid. I never played Ascension.

The PSP games were fun, haven't played em in a while, and it was the PS3 HD ports I played, but I'm sure they play about the same

They are if you really like the franchise, like they are fairly unremarkable regardless but if you really enjoy the games it's always good to have more of the same even if it's not as epic

Yeah, I got the PS3 that was bundled with the full series, so I'd be playing them all on PS3. Don't think I could go back and play on a PSP

Any suggestions on when I should play them? IIRC they're all prequels to 1, with Ascension being the earliest but I don't know if they should be played chronologically or not

I forgot Ascension was the one with multiplayer. I remember watching a playthrough of it when it came out, and the campaign seemed pretty interesting for what it was, but like someone already said, it may have been shorter than I remember.
