To be fair, most games on mobile nowadays ask for a shit load of access.

That is because the phone makers don't know how to encapsulate permissions so they have to ask for a huge permission suite just to do a few small basic functions.

Fuck both of them, i don't like Apple any way but Epic isn't in the right, pretty sure they've done some anti-consumer bullshit.
Apple is literally the epitome of anti-consumer with their bs ecosystem

How about apple lets people actually install whatever the fuck they want on their phones?

Buy an Android then. Or jailbreak it.

that's why I don't play mobile games tbh, plus they are shitty games geared to make you miserable if you don't spend tons of dough

There's some that aren't too bad on f2p players but generally, yeah.

Why does apple have to allow this? If you want to install random apps, buy a phone that lets you do that.
Of course it would be good if apple did allow sideloading, but i dont agree that they should be forced to allow it.

Apple should have to allow it because the ability to do so is already there and artificially blocked off. Imagine you buy a car but you can't change the rims for no reason whatsoever. You can only ask the dealership to change your rims for you and the dealership decides what rims you get when they change them.

If changing rims was a critical feature I needed as part of my car, I would have done my research before hand and bought a car which allows that. If I didn't care about that feature at all, I might buy a car which doesn't allow that but makes up for it in other areas such as improved miles per gallon.

Okay except now there's also only two makes in existence. The one that doesn't let you change rims or the one that lets you change rims but the steering wheel is on the opposite side and it only comes with a manual transmission. Both makes have varieties that change things like mpg or soft top but the unchangeable rims / flipped steering wheel & manual transmission are the constants that never change.

Shouldnt have built your career and company around making accessories for 2 companies you dont like. Or perhaps make your own cars that are what you want.
