so does my dad. it pisses me off. He thinks the protestors were on private property

they actually were not

also I looked into it, and this couple is hated by their neighbors and has a long history going back at least 10 years I think, of being assholes to everyone in the neighborhood. and they think they own a piece of land in front of their house that is actually public land.

Not supporting them in any way, just want to clarify: wasn't it a gated community and didn't the protestors break down a gate? Or was that more right-wing propaganda I fell for?

Yep, the McCloskey's are actually fairly well known and hated by most Saint Louisans who pay attention to local politics and events. You know you are a shitty human being when all the other rich people who live in your gated community hate you.

@Tired-Insomniac It is a gated community but the streets are not private property in it. The protesters walked in via an unlocked pedestrian gate. McCloskey's claim they grabbed their guns and came running out when they heard a crashing sound "like the bastille being stormed", which is bullshit since the gate was damaged later. There is video footage of the protesters literally opening the unlocked gate and walking in.

Propaganda. they didn't break anything down or trespass. It is a gated community, yes, but they entered through a public pathway.

I think he means Mike Browns mother.

But its a dumb comparison because 1. it was a group thing with several other African American mothers whove lost their sons or daughters, like Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, or that lady that was found hanged in her cell.
And 2. It was the mother, not her son.
