• 40 hours, not 50

Since we're not doing the after school stuff because the kids are staying home to learn [Close kids will walk and get lunch here, bus kids will have food delivered], so now I'm missing those 10 extra hours each week.

Are you a teacher? I used to work at Staples, which gets a consistent stream of teachers. I was considering that career path at the time, but they were always paying a good amount for their own supplies, always telling me it's not worth it.

Then I hear shit about not being able to do much for kids in bad family situations, and it breaks my heart. But the idea always comes back.

Sure are. I feel badly for everyone. The teachers for having to put up with BS students, the students not being able to learn as well since they have younger siblings and pets that will distract them, and for the rest of the staff like myself that are getting hours cut or even strait up let go
