Personally, I haven't been wowed by the game.

I loved the concept and on paper, it sounds like a great idea - running around a giant obstacle course with your friends and up to 60 people sounds like chaos, which it is.

$20 though? The game has very little depth, substance, and variety. Sure, there are about 20ish mini games, but you'll soon find yourself playing the same ones over and over again in a short amount of time.

There's some variety in the customization, but not a whole lot. On PC, you can't even change your tag, which makes playing with friends very bland since it'll take too long to even spot your friends. By the time you do, you're already running away from everything and get to do very little interaction with them.

The game just released earlier this month and this game could really use some updates. Let people change their names on PC. Release more mini games or obstacle courses that involve a little more than jumping (maybe have a door that needs to be opened with users pressing certain buttons or turning a crank with the analog stick). Perhaps including a second chance spot for users that were eliminated in the prior game. More game modes, too (ie: all teamwork or all solo events).

At its current state, this game should be free to play and that's my two cents. I'm a random nobody on gamefaqs, so take my opinion as opinion only.

Does anyone else share similar feelings? Is this game even worth talking about anymore or was it the flavor of the week and that's it?

Being a ps+ member, I forget it isn't. It does feel like one. The shop is very prominent and rewards are miniscule.

There are games that have way less content that aren't free. The game doesn't require any in-game purchases to enjoy and development costs money so no, it shouldn't be free. Hell, the in-game currency is so easy to obtain you never need to spend a dime to begin with.

$20 is a fair price. Plus they already committed to updating the game with free content.

Having low replay values was what I feared most. It looks like a lot of fun, and I would love to play it, but overall it just doesn't seem worth it in the long run.

I agree, thought it was a free to play game when I first saw some gameplay videos but then I saw the price tag and was like WTF. $5 curiosity buy at the most imo.

As i've been saying all along, Fall Guys is just a fad/flavor of the month game that will be abandoned as quickly as it rose to popularity. Once the streamers move on, so will the majority of the community.

i've already played for over 30 hours and have easily gotten my money's worth. it only now is repetitive for me to the point where it isn't as fun anymore, but i will definitely play more as new content comes out

I will say, the game is far from terrible. I think the developers really nailed it and kudos to them. Future updates will definitely be something I'll be looking forward to.

As another user posted, I also agree this game was/is a dad and people will quickly move on, with or without updates. I feel there simply isn't enough content to keep players playing for a long time and that's where my gripe of the $20 entry fee (lucky ps+ members) comes in. $5 would've been fair, $10 being the most they should've charged for it. $20 is too much.

They had to disable names because of an html injection exploit. They'll fix it soon I'm sure.

In fairness to the lack of content, season 2 is unveiled next week. They're actively working on improving and adding to it.

Temporary like how Rocket League is temporary and I still have it? I don't really plan on ever not having ps+. I only game enough these days to need one console and I always want it available to me in full. I know one day something will probably happen where I lose all these games, but that's too far in the future for me to care about. It's the cost of a Frappe a month lol. Which I use to drink 8-10 of those a month.

I agree 100%. I played a lot of free to play games over the years and Fall Guys feels just like some of those games.

Especially considering how slow it is to unlock more cosmetics. They clearly want to entice people to buy those. They could still make a profit if they went full f2p.
