Welcome to the King of Fighters 2020 (NOT MERCS) Simulated Character Battle Tournament!

The game is simple. The two* listed characters are placed in an (imaginary) location with a variety of (imaginary) environments, kind of like a picture in a child's schoolbook that describes different types of geological features. Within a ten mile radius, there is an (imaginary) urban downtown, exurbs, plains, snow-clad mountains at the edge, dry plains, etc. Fighters start wherever is most appropriate for them, but feel increasingly compelled to seek out their opponent and fight. Strong-willed fighters can try to hold out in their chosen environment for longer... eventually, all will succumb and actively search for the other to battle.

To participate, just vote in bold for whichever character you believe will win. Giving reasoning is optional, but please be polite and read what others have said and carefully make your decision. I'll ping the nominators (they can opt out) to give arguments if they wish.

Star's magic seems like way too much for Kaladin here, with spying, teleporting, transforming and stopping time among a lot of other things. I feel like she can deal with everything he has, even if she can't stop his healing she can make portals to other dimensions and strand him somewhere. Don't know Kaladin that well though so waiting for arguments.

Star definitely has the capability to win. It comes down to how effectively she'd use her power. Kaladin has a scout of his own and can nail a surprise attack if Star isn't prepared to go all out against him. Seems like she's mistiered though, sadly

Yeah Star takes it. She can easily ambush him as she will know his location from the start with All Seeing Eye then she can just nuke him with any spells

I am fairly certain Kaladin's healing is not going to be enough if she managed to mulch Toffee who quickly regenerated his whole arm (stronger even) when it got shot off and could regrow from just a thumb

I never even heard of Star so fuck if I know.

All I can tell you is Kaladin is nigh impossible to hit in combat and any single attack he lands is basically a killshot.
