Like you guys know the dude was on stage in a dozen televised debates over the last year throughout the Dem Primary and he was pretty consistently fine. I don't think there was a single one where people said he had a poor performance, usually he was considered just pretty okay. His most memorably unfavorable moments were moments where Harris or Sanders or Warren got some strong attacks on him, but they weren't Biden ever falling apart over himself. And his "just ok" performances were usually blamed on Biden not tending to go on the offensive against other candidates very much and often cutting himself short in the middle of his sentences when his 30 seconds would run out, which wasn't usually very strictly enforced. It's worth noting too that the Dem debates always had a rhythm where whoever was in first place in the polls at the time would receive the brunt of people's attacks on stage - because an easy way to boost your own polling is to knock down the people polling ahead of you. Over the last year Biden was usually (but not 100%) first place in polling, and so he was doing pretty okay despite often being under fire from 5-6 people simultaneously.
