Thought I should make a topic about the return of this wonderful show! Only watched the first ep. so far but this was one of the best episodes of the series in my opinion, it was great to see Lucifer & Chloe completely separated for the entire episode and have them solve different parts of the case individually, and to see certain character mix-ups like Chloe & Maze working closely together. And I love episodes that explore the lore of Hell more, like Off the Record (the best episode of the entire show IMO).

Eps. 2 & 3 down. This Michael stuff is so good, and really showcases Ellis' talents even more than usual. His psychotic veneer & weird arm gives him a very horror-ish feeling. Episode 3 was just plain funny hilarious too.

also I'm really running out of slack to give Maze, there's only so many times you can keep playing the traitorous pawn to the baddie, like sure you wanna be mad at Luci go ahead but why do you always gotta go along with the blatant manipulator's plot despite the shit he's caused all your other loved ones

Just finished tonight, that ending was incredible.

I did think Maze was really wishy-washy this season in general too, and especially right after she saves Chloe from Michael she joins him immediately? Maybe certain scenes weren't able to filmed in time? I dunno. But in general super-solid first-half of the season, in particular, the stuff with Dan I thought was extremely frightening & heartbreaking at the same. I think he had the most genuine reaction to finding out who Lucifer really is, especially after they were slowly becoming more chum-chum throughout the season. And once again Ellis' double duty acting is great, I honestly forget sometimes that Michael is even him!
