On July 14th, one of Mauro Garza's campaign tents fell on my car and damaged the paint... Still in the process of getting that repaired. I've got an appointment on the 14th to get the door panel repainted. Then I've got to make another appointment a couple weeks after that to get the ceramic coating put back on that door panel.

I contacted him about it with the video, assuming he would just pay for the damages either out of pocket or from his campaign, but he refused to do either.

He then offered to have his volunteer personally write me a check for my deductible. I was gonna take the money because his volunteers swept it under the rug, too. However, they wanted me to sign some document "holding them harmless for future issues in this regard" or something like that before sending me the check. So I decided to let State Farm go after him.

good job, literally the only time i've seen a car insurance company do something useful.

Yeah, that's what I thought was going to happen. I just happened to be looking at video logs from my car about 2 weeks after the incident and saw it. I contacted his campaign office directly and thought he would just pay for it from his campaign, but nope.
