S7E01 - Bonnie and Neddy - The duly elected King of Ooo, now Princess of the Candy Kingdom, has charged Finn and Jake to open an "Extremely Dangerous" door. The King of Ooo scares away the producer of basically the lifeblood of the Candy Kingdom... PB's brother Neddy. We see their birth and find out Neddy is a sensitize coward. She has a power which let's him fall back asleep and she brings him back to the Candy Kingdom to continue his life of sucking on the roots of the trees and creating candy juices that the Candy Kingdom runs on.

She does though. The citizens of the Candy Kingdom are absolute fucking morons, but she doesn't change them even though she literally creates them. She tinkers with Lemongrab multiple times, but she never stops him from being repugnant in every respect.

S7E02 - Varmints - Marceline discovers that PB has been deposed (2 months priot) and goes to talk to her. We see some of their history together and see that they definitely have a romantic past. PB shows some vulnerability for the first time in a long time as she breaks down about losing her kingdom and that she worked so hard that she pushed everything else away.

Hopefully the rest of the season is as good as this episode is.

Super disagree. Most of her character faults are due to her being overprotective of the candy people.

In some respects, but arguably she could have taken more care in creating them. Assuming she does CREATE them all.

There's a nice analogy in there about how the "all knowing creator" may not really have as much power as we think. Potentially.

S7E3 - Cherry Cream Soda - In a move that I'm sure never comes back, somehow Root Beer Guy's remains become reanimated, and he becomes... a Candy Citizen Zombie? Cherry Cream Soda married Starchy however, which causes a very odd set of events. Also Zombie Root Beer Guy is super strong now? Anyways, she leaves Starchy and decides to date Zombie Root Beer Guy, stating she wants to get to know him again. Really weird, I assume it sets up that zombies are going to be super strong? I dunno.

Varmints is such a great episode, not only because it sheds a lot of light on PB and Marceline's relationship, but because it gives us great insight into how PB processes set-backs. She might be a theoretically immortal being of gum, but I think this episode really did a lot to humanize her.

I've been watching The Office a bunch lately while I play FFXIV. Not gonna lie, that is pretty much the only reason I've kinda held off. I might try to get at least an episode a day moving forward. Lol

S7E4 - Mama Said - Uhm.... what? So the boys are tasked with finding a Flying Mushroom large enough for Princess King of Ooo to ride on. He saw a video of a small flying Mush and wanted a big one. On the journey, our boys run into Canyon, the ex of Billy. She is looking for her people's Ancient Spring. A mushroom colony becomes sentient and attacks the boys, while also giving them a Wiki entry level of information about itself. Canyon finds her Ancient Spring, which is actually a body of water she can manipulate, and uses it as a sword to destroy the Ancient Spring. During their time together, Finn asks if it is wrong they were not EXACTLY following the orders of Princess King of Ooo. Canyon says that if you don't love your job, maybe it is time to quit. They come back to Princess King of Ooo with a mushroom pizza, and are fired from the royal guard for not following orders.

S7E5 - Football - Uh.... WHAT?!? BMO has a lover on the other side of the mirror named Football. They change places as Football wanted one day out in BMO's world. She then refuses to switch back, and BMO figures out how to see her in all types of reflections. It's basically a pseudo-horror episode... and you never REALLY know if it is just playing pretend by BMO or if a reflection world really does exist. I loved it and found it trippy as hell. My wife not so much.

S7E6 - Stakes PT 1 : Marceline the Vampire Queen - Marceline decides to take up PB on her offer to try to turn her non un-dead? Remove the whole vampireness from her being. PB tries to do the job but we won't know for a few days. During the first night Marceline has a freaky dream about having attacked a cow... which turns out to have actually happened! The villagers call Finn and Jake to solve the crime. They think it was Marceline, but it turns out that a weird black monster (which I'm guessing is her vampire essence now made into a being itself) was the one doing the blood sucking. The villagers don't know this and tie up Marcy to die in sunlight. The episode ends with Marcy being subjected to sunlight telling Finn not to let anyone read her diaries. =(

S7E7 - Stakes PT 2 : Everything Stays - We join up at the end of the last episode, and into what I assume her diaries would be about. She is talking with her mother about having weird and scary dreams, then Simon having to leave to protect her and her feelings of abandonment. There was also then her killing vampires which she seemed to take no small amount of pleasure in. She found some humans and at first they thought she was a vampire... but she could be in the sunlight. Huh? She seems to be a demon of some kind that can take and use other beings supernatural powers. She killed a vampire and took its essence and could float/fly. We also find out the humans wear animal type hats to try to hide from vampires. She defends these humans from vampires and the episode ends with her telling them to leave the continent as the Vampire King bears down on them. Back in the current time line, the sun does not kill her and it seems her vampirism was cured... but taking it out of her meant the old ones she killed are back.

S7E8 - Stakes Part 3 : Vamps About - The vampires that Marceline killed and took their powers are back, but immediately disagree on how to move forward and go to different areas of Ooo. Jake tells the crew about it and Marcy immediately moves forward to stake them again... starting with the one that allows her to fly once more! She tries to take out the Vampire King but is stopped when he tells her that another subordinate is heading towards the "kingdom of ice and snow".

S7E9 - Stakes Part 4 : Empress Eyes - The Empress has taken over Simon.... again, apparently? She comments on how he is really messed up now compared to the last time he was in her thrall. She orders Simon to get Finn, the last human, so she can feast upon him. Simon grabs our boy, but Marceline has tracked them down! We find out the entire time as Simon only half-listens to the Empress that she actually never did brainwash him, he just found her cute and would do what she said... until he was told to kill Marcy. Marceline eventually tries to kill Empress but is pinned down by her. PB shows up with some sort of stasis gun and binds her movement however, and Marcy kills her. They all decide to hunt the vampires together, after Marcy gains Empress's ability to go invisible once more. We also found out that Marcy decided to hunt vampires as a means to try and keep humanity (and thus Simon) safe.

S7E10 - Stakes Part 5 : May I Come In - Heirophant runs into King of Ooo (being a weirdo hunting Crunchy) and gets the low down on where Marcy could be... the cabin. Marcy and crew were hunting another vampire but we see that Heirophant is an old school vampire. Needing to be invited into a house. So... he cannot enter the cabin to talk to Peppermint Butler. However, he follows their tracks and encounters the gang! They try to fight him despite Heirophant wanting to just talk. Eventually Jake turns into a house and pulls the gang inside him, leading to the discussion. Heirophant hates the Vampire King and surmises he let himself be beaten by Marcy. He wants to team up to take him out. Marcy agrees so long as Heirophant turns into a "only eating red colouring" type Vampire that she was. He... disagrees. However, Crunchy runs into the picture and promptly crashes into Heirophant, pushing him into the Jake House uninvited. He dies and Marcy gains his powers. However, during the fight he seemed to poison her with his scorpion tail, so Marcy is all messed up.

If all of Adventure Time was like this I would have a much better view of it as a whole.
