I usually arrange a time and place to meet the delivery person, especially if the apartment complex has gates. Since the COVID-19 started, I had them call me when they reach the gate. Then I would arrive, and stand about 6 ft. from it and ask them to set the pizza box on the ground. After they get into their car, I would open the gate and pick up the box.

if you are that afraid then don't order take-out. being 6ft from them won't help if they have the virus, and you touch what they touch

Wasn't it recently said something about touch not being the issue and it being airborne or something?

yes but there shouldn't be all that many delivery services per neighborhood so most people can be confused and lost two times max. Fortunately I don't have that issue anymore because both my building and apartment are clearly marked and can be accessed from the street, no nonsensical apartment complex bullshit anymore

Because finding your apartment number, finding takes quite a bit of time, especially since you don't give any instructions on how to find it.

Just have them call upon arrival, That's what I did when I lived in an apartment. I'd then meet them.
