What he's doing is out of love for his wife, it was either that or she dies IIRC he's a really interesting character. I would have loved to see modern adaption of him, but because arny did such a bad job playing him no one really cares for the character. --- In this world, is the destiny of man controlled by some transcendental entity or law? And I actually still really like the hamminess he brings to the role, even though I understand why it wouldnt be popular compared to the (much) more serious Burton movies. Tbh I dont think that movie is the reason were not getting Freeze. The modern Batman movies have actively tried to distance themselves from the franchises more fantastical and soft sci-fi elements. There's still people out there who think the Nolan batman movies are good(BB was decent, but the other two are so lame in retrospect).
