it's been a little too long since i replayed to do a ranking of the first seven mega mans that i can be confident in, but i'd probably have 2 and 3 toward the top, followed by 4 and 5 in some order, then the rest

i'm not familiar with the generations, but i did play through pokemon gold a year or two ago and it was a good time

i've played through blue, yellow, and gold... not sure if i have anything else. they're fine games, but the cultural obsession bothered me because i remembered nintendo gaming before pokemon was a thing and i preferred it without pokemon (o no controversial opinion)

i watched those movies as a kid but i remember little other than one was in manhattan, another featured a scene involving a woman getting murdered while or about to eat a banana, and the first one is about jason's mom

i'm really excessively behind in the super hero movie world. as far as contemporary or contemporaryish super hero movies go, i've seen the dark knight, one of the transformers movies (if that counts), thor, captain america... i think that's it. i have batman begins on dvd though, maybe i'll watch it sometime

sentimentally i like ff2 more than some people because i like the dramatic plot and how it seemed like an attempt to go beyond the stories other rpgs were telling at the time. that and i enjoy the soundtrack (i bought a bunch of uematsu soundtracks a year or so ago) and think it's cool how you can walk around the entire world right from the beginning of the game (though you'd want to keep saving for when you run into battles you can't win yet). i mean, the concept of those kids walking around their entire planet right from the get-go... craaaaazy, man!

i remember i played ff2 on android a few years ago and i made a list of all the problems with it. i remember getting a game over because a ridiculously strong enemy or however many spawned in a place in which that should not have happened, early in the game. i also remember there being a lot of tiring wandering back-and-forth stuff, and some areas feeling quite a bit empty, even in the remade version . . .

with that said yeah, ff2 is the worst of the ffs i've played through. i don't think i've beaten 3 or 5 because i get too bored by the time i get a few hours away from the finish line, though. i also haven't played through 11 or anything from 13 and later. they just don't seem to be my kind of games tbqh (enjoyed 12 for what it was worth though)
