I mean in terms of amplifiers it either works on transistor tubes or a digital recreation of amp impulses.. theyve come an extremely long way but you dont get this.. woof or warmness.. I can totally tell too, its like the difference between putting on a record and hearing the sizzle from cracks and pops bs a pristine digital disc with every bit of clarity in the case of the mellotron, yeah - its those discrepancies that almost make the instrument sound out of tune due to the limitations of the technology.. its truly a wonderful thing to hear in a song like Strawberry Fields or In The Court of the Crimson King.. I havent heard a plug-in replicate it to that extent that can replace a mellotron, you can sort of get that phasey, tape loop sound though.. weve come a loooong way lol <cite>FrankJaegr posted [p:944035516] in how the me...
