Actually, on second thought, I have no scientific data or anything that leaving this stuff out for 8-10 hours will make it unsafe to consume afterwards. Heat moves from warm objects to colder objects so it wouldnt take long for the boiling water to lose most of its thermal energy and just become cold water.
