For those who dont know, Phil Lynott was the lead singer/bassist of the band Thin Lizzy who are based out of Ireland. Their music spans hits youve probably already heard like The Boys Are Back In Town, Jailbreak, Whiskey In The Jar (this is an old folk tune, but he Rock and Rolld it and then Metallica would go on to cover this song out of love for Thin Lizzy) and Bad Reputation (playable song in Guitar Hero). Lemmy Kilmister from Motrhead, a god of Rock and Roll, cites Thin Lizzy as one of his main influences.

Phil Lynott died at the age of 36 after struggling with drug and alcohol dependency which led to infection of internal organs :(
