There were a lot of Adult themes in that show. Considering most of my memories of it are from age 10, I'm sure most of it went over my head.

That 12 minutes series cycle worked really well for Adult Swim programming.

They had SEALABs back in the 1960s. Scott Carpenter, the 2nd American to orbit the Earth, spent 28 days aboard SEALAB II.
