do you remember the first time you saw that?

I saw it opening night and the place went crazy at the end. We even went nuts during the pencil magic trick scene, I guess because none of that was shown in the trailer

The first time I watched it, I didn't catch what Batman said when Gordon asked him which one he was going after. I figured when I saw him open the door to reveal Harvey that he had decided Harvey was more important for Gotham in the moment and he was putting his personal feelings aside.

Then when I watched it the second time and put captions on, it became so clear that he said Rachel. I felt like an idiot not recognizing it the first time. Like, I don't know how I could have possibly heard anything else.

that part is very confusing on the first watch. Its so very vague, and when Batman opens the door and Harvey goes Noooo, why are you here?, I thought Batman had chosen him too.

even Rachel thinks this. She hears over the radio that Batman is with Harvey, and she basically just accepts her death

What do you think Joker and Harvey talked about when Harvey flipped the coin and it landed heads?

Harvey had to have gotten dressed. Joker probably told him he was gonna go through with the plan too. He was probably polite and told Harvey to take his time leaving the hospital. Might've given him some car keys.

idk, I thought that ending scene was kinda hammy. In general, I mostly liked TDK for the Joker and the mobsters (and their money man). When they weren't around, it wasn't as fun.

Also: "I said my drug would take them places. I never said they'd be places they'd want to go."

Just one of the many aggravations associated with TDKR. There's also that shit where Bruce asks, "What are they chanting?", despite having down there forever.

I hate that he's giving that overly dramatic speech to his son who was kidnapped along with his mom and sister, had a gun held to his head by a man missing half his face, witnessed Batman kill that man and instead of his dad comforting him Gordon is verbally blowing Batman and going balls deep while doing it. Very awkward.

That scene doesn't make any sense when you think about how those characters always think in the comics or cartoons. They would have realized Joker lied in those.
