Christopher Nolan's big tent film rolled out in several parts of the country with only 65% of the market open. What's more is that Tenet only scored a B CINEMASCORE where Nolan films typically earn a B+ or A as it appears most moviegoers that saw it weren't so keen on the film...perhaps the time travelling plotline was too difficult to follow It does have a 79 on RT with 74% audience rating.... The opening does beat New Mutant's 7M opening but how much the movie makes in the following weeks and months will determine whether it was a success or failure for this 250M blockbuster. Disney opted to go for the 30 dollar + Disney+ route for Mulan which irked cineplexes although it did open in some markets such as Thailand, Taiwan, Slovakia with a 6M opening. The movie has made now nearly 150M worldwide when added with foreign grosses. Do you think 20M is good? https://i.imgur.com/hEtcSr7.jpg --- The News Will Continue...For Now call me mrduckbear, sweater monkeys. I'm an Asian Liberal. RESIST The Alt-Right ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yikes, current situation or not, $20M opening weekend on a $250M film (is that even including advertising?) sounds pretty bad. It'd need very long legs to even break even, and it sounds by all accounts like a pretty terrible movie, so it's not gonna get them.

That's fucking insane, what idiot would pay that much? I thought $20 on its own for a movie w/o a subscription fee was pushing it....Disney is so fucking greedy.... ... Copied to Clipboard!
