Welcome to the King of Fighters 2020 (NOT MERCS) Simulated Character Battle Tournament!

The game is simple. The two* listed characters are placed in an (imaginary) location with a variety of (imaginary) environments, kind of like a picture in a child's schoolbook that describes different types of geological features. Within a ten mile radius, there is an (imaginary) urban downtown, exurbs, plains, snow-clad mountains at the edge, dry plains, etc. Fighters start wherever is most appropriate for them, but feel increasingly compelled to seek out their opponent and fight. Strong-willed fighters can try to hold out in their chosen environment for longer... eventually, all will succumb and actively search for the other to battle.

To participate, just vote in bold for whichever character you believe will win. Giving reasoning is optional, but please be polite and read what others have said and carefully make your decision. I'll ping the nominators (they can opt out) to give arguments if they wish.

Buffy has a lot of dodging gunfire feats, most involving automatic gunfire from multiple people. she's being undersold here

Roland draws and shoots faster than be physically seen, and he's accurate enough to shoot his own bullets out of midair to redirect them. I'd put him well beyond goons with guns

Buffy doesn't need to see him shoot, her senses are more than good enough to hear bullets being fired even from far away and she has the reflexes to dodge them. A bullet travels at the same speed whether it takes a fraction of a second to fire or a full second.

though at this point I'm not sure he isn't using weird magic bullets because shooting a bullet that you already fired is probably impossible <_<

Buffy almost got killed one time by a guy firing errant shots as he ran away. I wouldn't put too much stock into her not getting shot in the midst of a battle, which is basically the divine right of any protagonist.

an outlier of her getting shot doesn't mean her many showings of reliably dodging bullets didn't happen. Flash gets beat up by Danton Black and like a hundred other villains... but that doesn't mean he's too slow to dodge a punch

He's somehow fast enough at reloading that he shot a guy and had reloaded his revolver before he fell down, that's not much of a break

at this point Roland just sounds like a cartoon character, guess Buffy is that outclassed here

To be fair it wasn't a moving bullet. Basically he was fighting a wizard who kept making a show of TK stopping his bullets. So Roland shoots one bullet at him, shoots another at a wall. Wizard catches the first bullet, second bullet ricochets and pool balls him with the first bullet
