Brain cancer. dunno how long she has left, but I doubt she'll make it to the end of the year.

Shes having memory problems, she barely eats, needs assistance moving anywhere, let alone getting up or down stairs.

My condolences... I have an uncle suffering the same fate.

He had a BBQ last weekend and after the rest of the family left, we had a smoke session... I'm going to miss the hell out of him. He said "I'm going out blazing."

At least he has/had humor about it.

My mom is just... Stubborn about it. ._. She still thinks she has to take care of me, even though she can't anymore. sure, I may not know everything due to autism and such, but I do know how to take care of her and myself.

My sister died of cancer at the age of 26 back in 2006. She was diagnosed several months before it took her life. Cancer is indeed terrible. I'm sorry for your loss.

My condolences. My mother died of vascular dementia and I know how insidious and cruel a degenerative disease like that can be, and how it robs you of a loved one a piece at a time -- long before they actually die.

I am sorry. Your description of what she is going through sounds like my momma although she has Alzheimer's. We are nearing the end too. I have cared for mom for 7 years at my home. Again, I am sorry, I am there with you.

I'm also sorry you have to deal with this kind of thing. The only thing of comfort I can think of is that the good times and memories you have are forever. You'll never lose that. And to be fair, that's all we ever really have. We will all go at some point, some easier, some harder than others, but we never truly leave each other. Loved ones once loved feel love forever, imo.

its not fair. I took a half day at work because I basically had a panic attack due to this.

I'm sorry man, I know what you're going through. I watched my mom die slowly to. She had lung cancer. For 4 years I watched her go downhill. It was a very painful experience that I never want to see happen again.

as much as it sucks to watch someone go through it, it's way worse for the person going through it.

not only do they have to worry about themselves, but they have to worry about everyone else they love

it sucks all around and i hate it, but the most you can do is just try and make sure your family is going to be okay after you die. this is why your mom is still trying to take care of you.

i was there every minute for about 2 months straight when my grandfather died and yeah its not a pleasant thing. the emotional and physical toll it takes on you is not easy nor what comes afterwards. just have to be strong and take it one day at a time. it will get better.

Barely slept last night, had to wake up at 2 am to administer morphine to her.

She was pretty agitated, and wanted off the bed.

I almost lost my mom 2 years ago and recently lost an uncle that was like a father to my wife, so I can honestly say, I know how you feel and I share your pain.

My sincerest condolences.
