in my experience, in the west, there's this underlying sense of racism towards Asian people, and it ends up coming out whenever racists feel they can "justify" their outbursts

like, even before this outbreak, there was a lot of racism online when that Red Dawn remake came out.

it was just a movie, yet there was a lot of racist backlash.

Denmark literally has a black politician calling himself "n-word Tom" to appeal to conservative voters. They have discriminating legislation that classifies poor urban areas with a lot of Muslims as ghettos. And this is all without even touching how they treat greenlanders
