Someone pointed out that the sound effect bleep area is in an area that shouldn't be accessible with two shine sprites, which I find kinda suss because that's not the only map where you can race that guy and the starting chime would realistically be the same across all three or so races. The sound effect is definitely different in that video, but I'm not convinced that the footage is from 3D All Stars. It's definitely possible, but I feel like it would be too on the nose for a Nintendo port and I would like to think that whatever source Nintendo used for this release isn't so radically altered. Also, FLUDD saying "press the button" instead of "ZR Button" is an unfortunate edit, but at the end of the day I think that's a reasonable change to accommodate the Switch controller layout. Dunno why that's a point of contention with some people. If I'm wrong, I'll eat crow. But it's easy enough to mod an emulated version of the game to have widescreen and high definition, and I imagine editing the music wouldn't be that much harder. I'm saying this because Vinny from Vinesauce played a modded version of Sunshine last year with all those visual improvements, so I know it's possible. And while I'm here, is there video/audio of this even happening? If the leaker could get this footage, he could probably get the FLUDD footage. But yeah. Honestly, I'm not expecting a perfect port. I am expecting a port that feels like the GameCube version, which might not be in the cards considering the heat shimmering effect rumours - but given that it can at least play the game with minimal-to-zero framedrops, and that the emulation doesn't somehow bork the physics, I think I'll be able to manage. --- There are no pan-asian supermarkets down in hell, so you can't buy Golden Boy peanuts.
