I only played 1 and 2 but I can't remember what was going on in 2 beyond guys in robes and some kind of VR city of clones who eat ice cream or something?

I kinda lost the plot.

Kid loses his best friends, so he teams up with Donald Duck and Goofy to reunite with them. Along the way, he defeats the darkness and learns about the power of friendship.

After that, he plays a children's card game in a magic castle, spawns a clone who gets stuck inside of a computer after joining a cult, spawns another clone who also gets roped into said cult, gets a third clone of him created inside of another computer, gets put into a coma a couple times, gets beaten up by his own nightmares, and has to stop an evil scientist from trying to jumpstart the universe.

All the other main characters suffer similar degrees of wacky hijinks, like stealing the idenity of a man whose identity had already been stolen from another man, and then working alongside the man that that identity had originally been stolen from, only now he's hiding his identity from the men who were now claiming his identity. And being abandoned in hell for 10 years by Mickey Mouse.
