And because of that they were able to hold the line against the south. Granted the north was backed by the USSR and the South was backed by the US, neither side was able to successfully advance and hold territory.

the war was basically a complete draw after 51 and in 53 both sides realized nobody was winning this shit so they just agreed to stop shooting at each other and that was the end of American interventions in Asia of course.
