* the woman has every right to be concerned about how the interaction with police could go
* the woman is in the wrong when it comes to being upset at the guy doing his job. Now these men could have very well been shoplifting. But weve also seen what its like being black and shopping and having suspicious eyes on you or falsely accusing you of stealing
* nice job linking to a pro Trump, antiBLM YouTube channel. Just look at all of the videos posted there. Theres no proof that this woman is even BLM but the video does do a good job of trying to smear BLM.

Anecdotal, but I got caught shoplifting as a teenager at CVS and the lady literally just said "put that back" and kept walking >_>. I damn sure felt privileged to get out of there. Just one instant but I can still tell my story. I was an older teenager too, I could of been over 18 for all she knew.

I was caught shoplifting Krispy Kreme donuts when I was like 15. I would every day to the case where they were displayed and eat 1 or 2. The manager brought me to his office and made me sit there until my mom came. I was banned from the store lol but not really. I was poor and hungry lol

Damn bruh. I was just a klepto stealing petty shit. They did that to me in Target when I had like 100 dollars worth of cds and games in my pocket. But I marked the employee following me and ditched all the stuff in a different area before I tried leaving. They banned me and act like papers were gonna come to take me to court or whatever. But they never did. I honestly didn't know if I could get in trouble for still destroying the products in store, cause I had taken them all out the cases and just had the discs. One of the discs were the Jamie Foxx album, so maybe they did me a favor. I never did end up listening to that album.

Fyi the Karen in that video is black(she's light skinned so it's kind of hard to tell in the video). It is this lady:



She scorched her social media accounts after the backlash from the video but her name/picture is out there. She also described herself as an "he/her Comedian | Writer | Activist | Public Speaker Teacher | Breast Cancer Advocate Community Organizer" on her Twitter while it was active so assuming she's an uber progressive BLM supporter is not a huge stretch.

I hate these people who perpetuate the idea that there is any particular risk of anyone, black people included, being randomly killed in a police interaction. If you're that scared of such a low statistical chance, you'd probably die of shock if you applied the same thinking to literally every action you take.

Depends on company policy. I used to work retail and where I worked we generally only *had* to call the police if they stole alcohol or cigarettes or something. Otherwise we'd just fill out a known theft form. Because the reality is, unless you have security on site to detain the shoplifter they will be long gone by the time the cops show up in the vast majority of cases. So calling the cops is really kind of pointless a lot of the time.

Medicine as well my wife worked at Walgreens and majority of the times people stole something was 95% medicine/vitamins

Like one time awhile back some guy walked out with about 5 grand in electronics.

The dude just casually took the cart that the stocker had the stuff in and walked out with it.
