Theyve been here for the past week repainting my house. Im thinking of buying them lunch as a good will gesture.

Ive done tons of renos and never had anyone do that. Have gotten the odd cold beer or what not at the end of the day and ive always had a much higher opinion of those people than the ones who dont make any gesture. I imagine itd be well appreciated.

That said people in that scenario certainly dont expect anything and i totally understand home owners who keep interaction to a minimum.

Its the ones who watch you all day or who constantly act like they know your job better than you somehow who i cant stand.

I bought them three large pizzas from a local place and brought it over with a 2L coke and 2L sprite. The foreman was extremely surprised and said I shouldnt have. They all seemed extremely happy.

It should be another week, and the painting should be done. Ill buy them sandwiches or Chinese food next week. It actually made me feel very good making them happy lol.

Nice, yeah - its always nice when people take the time to do that. I work as an electrician so sometimes Im in the insulation trying to see where wires go in some hot ass attic or in dirt underneath a porch type o thing. Luckily I get to work inside most of the time in a home that people live in so they have AC.. but plumbers gotta deal with literal shit and carpentry and construction have to carry slabs of Sheetrock up and down and up and down and up and down and bags of cement.

Nevermind the fact that sometimes trucks use up more gas + a long ass ride? Trust me, they totally appreciate the fact that you saved them some money and are looking out for them. Hardly anyone ever says if he dont treat us right; were not gonna work most of the time its hey man that dude was alright, he bought us pizza and shit lets get back to work for this dude
