When they happened in 2016, they were national news and people were talking about them constantly. However, nobody seems to talk about them anymore, as if they do not care. What gives? Did people just never care in the first place?

As a Belgian I can tell you that the general public here seemingly got over it pretty quickly. Save for some increased security measures during summer festivals that summer and the one year anniversary I can't even recall hearing it mentioned anymore.

I think about them every time I fly, which is why I always try to get through security rather than bumming around in the outer areas.
