I'd rather not know and at least have the possibility to learn than have to 'retrain' myself personally. Even just going by would you rather think you're smart or know you're stupid, rather know I'm stupid. You can really step in it thinking you're smarter than you are. There's no real advantage to knowing the wrong thing, but plenty of disadvantages.
