I've played games in an already bad mood so failing over and over didn't really help.

I've also gotten frustrated because I hate letting games beat me sometimes so I'll keep trying.

Ultimately? It never lingers long like a bad day at work or something might. It's a hobby.

No. The only time I might feel bad is if I messed up when I know it was within my capabilities. But that's on me, the game has clearly defined parameters.

Yes, usually when I have to end a ranked gaming session on a loss due to business. Which leaves me upset with negative thoughts for a while into my next task.

I don't enjoy games unless I fail at em, that's why I like Mario maker and monster Hunter
I don't get my dopamine rush until I fail 10 times to finally beat it the 11th time

When i was like 14 and trying the no save no first aid spray run on re:2 for the infinite rocket launcher i died on the last boss and threw my psx into the wall.

console was fine. Disc popped out and frisbeed through the air and broke halfway across one side.

Wasnt a high point in my life.

Only when I lose in fighting games solely because of something that wasn't my fault like a lag spike or a glitch.

I used to get really upset about video games, but I've lightened up over the years. I can get fairly frustrated now and then if I'm struggling a lot in something I'm really invested in, but the worst feeling is probably getting stuck on a puzzle, because then it's like "Damn... I guess I'm just too stupid to play this."

Yeah, Bloodborne is probably the game that pissed me off the most.

Only time I can remember getting really pissed was playing in the dark zone on Division. You'd loose xp for dying in the dz and could loose hours/days of progress. I was in a shit mood anyway and my buddy kept dicking around instead of sticking together. The 3rd or 4th time I died I threw my controller and it ripped the cord to my mic. That shit was just dangling out of my ear.

I've never had a game "beat" me, normally, but on the rare off day where it seems my hands and brain don't want to get along, it is extremely frustrating.

"Please don't run into the open in front of the enemy bunker comp I can't outheal it" and then they do. Doesn't matter if I'm doing everything at the best of my ability and totally in the zone, just... Ugh.

I was gonna say no but someone mentioned Bloodborne, and I remembered getting Orphan of Kos down to like 3 more hits from dying before getting splatted by something I should have been able to dodge and feeling like shit for a few hours

Oddly enough the original Donkey Kong Country. I had the GBC version as a kid and could never get past the ice levels. Mom actually took my gameboy once because I was freaking out after failing on the slippery vine level for the millionth time.

Ended up getting the SNES version in college and figured it was finally time to slay that demon...nope. Made it through the ice levels but couldnt beat K. Rool at the end. I was straight up raging in my dorm by the time I gave up. Just brutal at that game. Im good at the two sequels but the original has always slapped me around.

Spent an hour+ cheesing the ultra mega giant fights in the dark arisen areas lol.

Took at least that long on the final boss at base difficulty. ;-;

duh, games are supposed to be fun. no one's gonna have fun failing and wasting their time. Case in point, deep rock galactic. Some missions can take over an hour, if you fuck up the escape pod part, oops, sorry, you get nothing. Punishment is too damn high after the time investment

Hmm...I don't think so. I've been mad in moments, but never had it carry on more than a simple "Ugh, what the fuck".

Yeah. I've never slammed a controller or broke anything but I can usually sit there and realize when it's me that's fucking up in a game. I try to get back in a good head space and focused. Sometimes I can't do it and lose and it pisses me off a little. I'll walk away and try again later.

Most recent happenings: They Are Billions on my fourth attempt a level and I am 100 percent sure I have it this time but missed one tiny wall that was kind of hidden by a forest. Caused me to lose.
