Yeah SMP was pretty traditional unless you're talking about each character having different loaded dice they could use. I always wished you could turn that off but everything else was pretty standard from what I can remember.

Suikoden, specifically one final game that takes place after 3 (preferably taking place in Harmonia). Who I'd trust to develop such a game I don't know, especially since most of the original creators are currently busy working on that spiritual successor people are raving about >_>
