The sheer amount of security, and the pathological terror that L Ron Hubbard apparently lived in, back in the day. Also, the strange stuff, like dogs wearing Scientology uniforms, and people having to salute them as they go past.

There are some really good documentaries about Scientology and I think they're all worth checking out.
