they should be replaced by the party of the President who nominated them.

For example, if one of the three liberal justices is killed and a Republican is president, then the Democrat party should get to make their own choice and bring it to a vote in the Senate (and vice versa)

If this was law, then it would render any murderous attempt to remake the court futile.

What if the Senate fails to confirm every nomination brought forth, leaving the bench empty (on purpose)?

Solution? A list of at least 3 folks, and they're forced to choose one.
